A while back I purchase a few meters of Gemstone Beaded Chain. It has been sitting in my drawer just waiting to be used. Calling to me when I’m at my desk. Hey, remember me? I’m over here, Gemstone Beaded Chain.
I’m not quiet sure why I have taken so long to make something with the Gemstone Beaded Chain. Perhaps it was because I like it in its current form. The simplicity and elegance of multiple gemstones attached together on the looped wire.
There is also no going back once I make the first cut, and that can be daunting.
But today I will be bold. I will take that step and make that first cut. Only time knows what the finished product will look like.
Simplicity and elegance.
That is what I’m hoping the finished piece will convey. Something that can be worn in various situations. Day to day, special occasions.
Simplicity and elegance that has multiple purposes.
Now that’s a tall order.
Using sterling silver chain and desiring a finished length of 16″, the final result is a dainty chain with tiered layers of the garnet chain.
Delicate, but having depth.
Maybe it isn’t so scary to take the step past the point of no return. Sometimes beautiful things result from that first cut and the inability to go back to the status quo.
Now I think I’ll make some earrings to compliment the necklace…
